Overview
La Compagnia is a conceptual Italian long-table restaurant inspired by the spirit of multigenerational dining and shared conversation. Rooted in the traditions of Italian trattoria culture, the project translates the warmth and spontaneous energy of a communal meal into a comprehensive brand identity, menu system, and retail artifact.
Challenge
How can a brand identity capture the "beautiful chaos" and unscripted joy of an Italian family dinner while creating a cohesive narrative across physical and retail touchpoints?
Solution
To bring the restaurant’s soul to life, the design system centers on the "Theater of the Table," utilizing the improvisational tradition of Commedia dell’arte. The visual language pairs architectural arch motifs with a character-driven wine collection to personify the evening’s unfolding story. This is supported by a tactile menu designed as a "script" for the evening, ensuring every guest becomes a lead performer in a shared, playful celebration.
Each course is an act, unfolding alongside the personalities gathered at the table. Inspired by the lively Italian stock characters, the menu moves with curiosity, conversation, and spontaneity. Every guest brings their own story, every interaction adds flavor, and together the evening becomes a unique shared experience.

These wines are made for the moments you don’t plan — the laughter that breaks out mid-meal, the debates that stretch long into the night, the quiet confessions shared over a final glass. The labels take inspiration from the arched Italian doorway, a symbol of openness and warmth, because at La Compagnia, every moment is welcome, and every memory deserves a bottle.
